I had to re-do the drywall and the flooring in the second bedroom when we first got the house. It was "interesting" how the room had been added in the first place. I vowed to never to drywall EVER again. Been there, done that and it sucked. :-)
What was interesting about the second bedroom was that when they added, they simply created the door by using a Sawzall on the existing wall without adding any sort of a header or other studs. They also simply drywalled over the old shingle wall. Then when we laid a new floor, we discoveed that there were no true 90 degree angles. Good thing I brought the chop saw! :-)

Hi Odessa...I went back and googled that photo and none of them are dated. I would have to say it is about 1899-1900 from the style...

Red, As far as I know, a "traveling dress" would have been the same style as a woman would have worn at any other time..just made of some sturdier fabric with the acessories needed to travel, cloak, bonnet, bags etc...but I am gonna do a search and see what else I can find..I will get back to you on it...

Boy, You got that right about the bickering..sheesh, enuff already. We have a lot of history in our own back yard, huh!
No snow here. we are at 3000 feet and we do get snow but it is later on...then it does not last long...
May I steal you away. I always look to coming to you page, as I enjoy the pictures of you horse, and gaze on you lovely face, as reflects your spirit. Plus, you justice to all the Native Americans that you derive your studies and research on. This why, I would steal you away my friend.
Definitely wasn't fun. What amazed me was that it wouldn't have required much more effort to actually do stuff the right way. I kind of had to figure my way through it- thank god I had a chop saw and a lot of various-sized lumber- it was kind of like a puzzle. I vowed never to do drywall ever again. EVER.
It is not me, but you who speaks, and your words is where I hear the beauty that comes from the heart because of your spirit. I only spoke truth, and for that, I don't need praises. Yes your God given beauty is striking to a man, this is not doubted, but is the beauty that you carry yourself, and speak from, that beauty is speacial, and all women or men have it, where it calls attention, as you do my friend.
I was "deprofiled" yesterday by Ning. I'm waiting to be reinstated. You now have to pay if you want it done quicker. Yeah right. Lol. I also contacted TW to see what they can do.
I don't know. It just happened all of a sudden. No reason was given. I have written Ning twice but like I said, they want us to pay. I don't think I have to pay but I may have to wait awhile to get an answer. I don't really know as this is the first time this has happened to me.
