At 3:13pm on November 24, 2009, Adam Lid said…: I had to re-do the drywall and the flooring in the second bedroom when we first got the house. It was "interesting" how the room had been added in the first place. I vowed to never to drywall EVER again. Been there, done that and it sucked. :-)

At 5:06pm on November 24, 2009, Adam Lid said…: What was interesting about the second bedroom was that when they added, they simply created the door by using a Sawzall on the existing wall without adding any sort of a header or other studs. They also simply drywalled over the old shingle wall. Then when we laid a new floor, we discoveed that there were no true 90 degree angles. Good thing I brought the chop saw! :-)

No snow here. we are at 3000 feet and we do get snow but it is later on...then it does not last long...

I kind of had to figure my way through it- thank god I had a chop saw and a lot of various-sized lumber- it was kind of like a puzzle. I vowed never to do drywall ever again. EVER.
