Nat, the bag is a copy of an 1874 haversack, it is made by a guy in California called Bill Johnson, he's on this site look him up. He is also on the web as vcr mercantile, his gear is top notch, infact you can find him by looking at my friends he's on there. A t some point I want to have an indian wars event, get as many of us together who are interested in this period and have a large military camp. Pinch does a mean Apache impression as do others, and as you know the 10th we're probably the main regiment responsible for sending them packing into the Mexico hills. When you get the chance go onto the Skirmish living history worldwide and have a look at the frontier regulars group.

Hi Nat does the guy in the Rough riders outfit portray that role much, I ask this because I'm gathering as much info on the Rough Riders Volenteer Regiment as possible, also the The Mexican Punitive Expededionary ( "Wild Bunch" period) and the search for Pancho villa after he invade the US.!

Hi Nat thanks for reply, so you are known to Virge Earp he rides with those brands. Re that army guy i thought by his cavas gaiters and web belt he was from around the 1890.s period and the Cuba conflict was 1898.
