I just watched this movie today, what a fun movie to watch. Starring Emilio Estavez, his brother Charlie sheen, Lou Diamond Philips, Kiefer Sutherland and Jack Palance. I thought that Amielio Estavez gave a brilliant performance as Billy The Kid.

Part of that movie was filmed in Cerillos, NM. I lived about thirty miles away. I spoke to a lady that said she had a hiding place in her home for Estavez and Phillips. They were being harrased by the girls and fans so much that they had no where else to get any rest.
I also spoke with a ctore keeper in Santa Fe that was an extra in the sequel, He said that Estevez, Sheen, and Phillips would drank with the other guys at night but Sotherland was kind of stuck up.

Wuz a pretty good film. Haven't see the sequel yet.

Not much as far as historical accuracy, but both films were entertaining!
