This novel, using the same characters, was written by the Screen Writer for the Appaloosa movie, and continues the characters from the original novels. I've pre-ordered it on Amazon, as it looks pretty good, if he really captured the Robert Parker style of writing.....
Now if they'd only make more of the movies......

Just ordered the book,,, hope it is at least half as good as Parker's.
