Met with Eric Flatt over at Tonto Bar & Grill this morning. I'm working on a T-shirt design he wants for both Tonto and Cartwrights, next door. Gave him a couple directions, including this page of sketches:
And then I threw in a page of color sketches:
Also, picked up some new art prints for a website we're creating. This is a pioneer sweeper. has some nice movement, no?
Also working on another Ben Rux—Mohave miner (not the newspaper, but the actual miner) in Gold Road, which is near Oatman, Arizona. I love the old photos of the town because the tents and outhouses went right up the steep ridges.

Comment by Bob Boze Bell on February 6, 2013 at 7:44am Cool shot. We were just there this past summer. Pretty spectacular setting for a town. Gambling has kept the place pristine but the expanded casinos are starting to overpower the original charm as the quaint Old West theme has been corrupted with the theme parks on steroids mentality of the Vegas Strip.
