Tombstone Zombies
Just when you thought it was safe to go back to Tombstone...
Writer and actor Billy Crouch is trying to fund a low budget film called "Zombie Billy of Tombstone." The premise of the film is that Billy Clanton climbs our of his grave at Boot Hill to get revenge on the descendants of Wyatt Earp who just happen to be visiting Tombstone. I won't go so far as to agree with "whatever keeps the oldwest alive" since I don't think it's necessary to go into horror or fantasy to keep it alive. The oldwest is too much a part of the building of North America to require anything except itself to stay alive.
As for the upcoming horror-western I hope, John, that your better half makes the cut. If I could hire on I'd quit driving truck.

Living in the midst of history, not far from Tombstone, I'd sooner see a form of media used to create an interest of some kind in the west, rather than the area turned into a tourist trap. In print, or on screen, it is available if desired but also easily ignored. I remember Tombstone 40 plus years ago barely 'squeaking' by, then the movie Tombstone and a big growth in visitors.
