Since it's springtime and flowers are in bloom, I wanted to mention the "other Tombstone celebrity," the Tombstone Rose. We had the pleasure of visiting this remarkable and lovely lady and even brought home a clipping. This little piece of this magnificent "tree" has grown to circle the living room twice and has even survived nibblings by the local deer and our terrorist cat, Snigglefritz. The Tombstone Rose is truly the rose too tought to die. We've planted our little trimming in the ground to grow, hopefully, over the patio trellis. After this past cold, dry winter, there's still green to be seen on the stem, so I'm looking forward to massive growth. Here's a photo of our little gem while in Truckee.
