The Great Train Robbery

[Odessa Red]

A group of us reenactors had a blast in Boulder City, NV on the Nevada Southern Railroad...we did four shows to sold out cars..had to end up turning people away at the end! The crowds enjoyed the banter and were entertained by the lawdawgs, bad guys, and fair maidens...and maybe a sporting lady, too ;) while riding the train through the desert. The passengers were able to view the desert's own spring show with the hills covered in green vegetation, the greasewood and desert dandelion all in yellow bloom, too. We mingled with the crowds, took pictures with them after each show...the children especially loved interacting with us...had several little girls and a boy call me a princess. My heart melts for the little children with their big, wide eyes, watching enthralled...I hope what we did will spark an interest in the little ones to do what we do, too! Thank you for you kind words. It really was a lot of fun making that commerical and then later doing the 4 shows. The seniors who were there for the commercial were a hoot...the black lady kept pinching Lester and Buffalo's butt as they walked by!

Thanks Carbine....yep...a blast it sure was...I'm looking forward to more shows in the future..it was actually pretty life-like when the train stopped and they had the shootout on the hill...the actual show, not the commercial...with the rocks...greasewood...and other desert vegetation, it looked pretty cool!
