  Hi Bob;

   I Watch 'Encore Weterns' channel a lot, and I enjoy your "True West Moments".

My question is: You see a lot of white men playing Indians in the movies, like

Charles Bronson. When they speak in an Indian language, is that for real, or are

they just making something up, or speaking jiberish?

                                Thank You Bob, and keep up the good work.

Mundo, don't go there. Ha. Dennis, yes, in the old, old Westerns white guys stood in for In-dins, but occasionally, like in the John Ford cavalry trilogy, he gave speaking lines to actual Navajos in the production (they filmed around Monument Valley on the Navajo res) . The scene called for a chief to talk to the white eyes in their own language and tell soldiers they agree with the terms, but when the film premiered in Gallup all the In-dins in the theater laughed out loud because the Navajo actor said, "You have lied to us forever and we say, go to hell!'"
