Not-So-Gentle Tamer One Step Closer, Plus The Town Tamer

April 25, 2012

Ed Riley from Bronzesmith in Prescott Valley dropped by last night to show me the precast of the ten-foot version of Not-So-Gentle Tamer. Here's a sneak peek at this big sucker:

Ain't she a beaut? That's Ken Amorosano at left, and Ed at right, holding on her arms. Ed had the lovely lady in pieces in his pickup and on a trailer.

And, of course, here is the pretty girl who posed for the painting:

I'm going to start calling her Not-So-Gentle Daughter. Ha.

Did a sketch this morning of the original town tamer and frontier marshal channeling Sam Elliott.

Sam would make a great Wyatt Earp. His craggy visage is pretty strong.

That statue is impressive!!  You must be very proud to see your creation in 3D and so huge!

And you can draw Sam Elliott anytime.  He's a favorite of mine.  He would make a great Wyatt, and he has a great voice, too.  I loved him in Conagher.

 Bob,

Any chance you could get one of the precasts for your house or office? That would be great!A two ft tall hot or cold cast would be mighty nice too.

I showed my wife the photo of your daughter as model. She got quite a chuckle with the vacuum cleaner hose standing in for the decapitated rattlesnake.

Anthony, tell your wife she has a very good eye. That is a pool vacuum hose.

It's a great compliment, however I feel Ed should have used more of the original models facial likeness.

Great compliment indeed. Glad you went with the shovel rather than the cotton hoe as originally drawn.
