   Back in the day (1973) I had a cartoon strip about a redneck cowboy who battled hippies who could turn themselves into lizards. I think it had to do with peyote but I don't remember.

    Jeremy Rowe has the most amazing old photos of Arizona, including this shot taken near Camp Beale Springs near my hometown of Kingman in 1873 (really early). This photo and many others appear in his new book, "Arizona Stereographs, 1865-1930."

    Thanks to this blog title I've had Mr. Gecko Head(put to the melody of Mr. Sandman) buzzing around in my head .I've almost got the lyrics worked out....
