Although he was brutally captured by an Apache raiding party and mistreated in the beginning (it's ironic that the Apache who captured Mickey was himself a captive), it's interesting that after all was said and done, he chose the Apaches. That in itself speaks volumes. Love the guy. I think he is the model modern character of this country and someday, someday, he will get his due.

I alwaysfelt he looked for Irish than even Mexican; Al said he was half Irish and half Mexican.  He chose the Apaches because they appeared to accept him.
