Received this little greeting among my email today.
Comment by Chuck Sawyer on January 7, 2012 at 11:29am ERIC: Thank you for this notice. Persoanlly, I love New Mexico and all her beauty, but sometimes I think they should consider this statement for her identity: "New Mexico, the Land that time forgot"..... from her Pueblos, to her Space port.......she offers a lot to vistiors and residents. Her state magazine, 'New Mexico' rivals Arizona Highways and I never that I'd say that since I'm a resident and native of Arizona ! OH YEA, great food too !!
Comment by Aurora on January 9, 2012 at 11:36pm Great re-enactment of the signing of the statehood act was held at the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum, at which the actor playing President William Taft "signed" the document at exactly 11:35 a.m., 100 years to the minute after the real Taft did it in 1912. Over 450 people attended the re-enactment. Las Cruces followed this great event with a parade on Saturday. Best and biggest celebration in the state. Below is a photo of the "signing."
