Gayle . . an "Elephant Repelant" is something I'm really in need of. Great problem here in California with the wild elephants these days . . .

Gayle if it works on elephants it should work on gators. LOL. No Bo, the eating chile.

The question was what is real chili? Chili comes in a variety of dishes and some say that beans added to it don't make it chili or detract from it. It can also be made from many types of meats or fowl. Ifin you go to a chili tastin contest it seems like everyone is trying to outdo each other when it comes to burning your mouth out or screaming come on ice cream when you use the potty. The wife makes regular chili with ground beef and beans which leaves a
tangy taste to the tongue without upsetting the tummy. She also makes a wild chili with rabbit, venison, or squirrel. Everbody has their own idea when it comes to chili. The idea is to make it tangy to taste using various spcies and meats with or without beans.
Thats my story and I'm stickin to it.

Ifin ya eat Rebs chili might I suggest that you coat your stomach with bread and butter. The bread to sop up the acids and the butter to coat your stomach. LOL

Be careful whut ya say about Chili in Cincinnati. I lived there a while. Empress was mine. Every Cincinnati -an has their favorite and won't eat the other brands. And the chili parlor chains are all run by near easten imigrants. I forget what country they are from. But all from the same country. Rather A-Mazing :)

REAL Texas /Mexican chilie don't have no beans. It is made from meat, garlic, onions, tomatoes and different chilies, dependant on the family traditiion.....frejoles are a side dish. I know most of you are screamin' "what does a Canuck know about Chilie", but I lived in Mexico (on the border towns) nineteen months, so I do know what I ate.....and like.

And the best chilie comes from Asia.....the Imperial Green.....those little suckers about as long as a hooker's eyelash.

Ha ha ha. A hooker's eyelashes? That's a great simile!! But, Brian, you're going to get mad cow disease if you're not careful!!
