Morning news flash . . . seen here in Stockton Ca. .  on the TV news Sacramento station . . .

The RUNNING OF THE BULLS to take place in "Cave Creek" Arizona . . .

I don't think those Spanish fighting bulls are appropriate for Cave Creek.

How about some of them REALL BIG and reall TOUGH . . . Brama rodeo bulls ? . . .

And I want a photo of Bob Boze Bell . . . running along in front of them.

 Photo shopped of course ;)

Funny you should post this. The guy who is putting this on came into my office two days ago to talk about the event. He puts on golf matches in real life and has done the bulls thing several times, the first time in Mesquite, Nevada, and then once again at Rawhide, a faux Western town which has since moved to the res south of Phoenix.

He says he keeps trying to let it go but people bug him to do it and every time he does it gets international attention (see blog post from Britain about this one). Amazing. Some things just capture the media and the public's attention. My son ran with the bulls in Spain and it is one of the highlights of his life. The problem here is we have too many lawyers and you can't run the bulls in town. The insurance is ridiculous and you get sued anyway.

Mundo, my man, I am so down for that I may have to paint a picture of it. That would make my day. I was at Walgreen's yesterday to print out a couple publicity photos (Color Mark, in Phoenix, where we normally get prints made is out of business) requested by TW readers and the woman wouldn't let me run them without a signed release from the photographer who took the photos! I said, "The photos are of me. Doesn't that count for something?" And she said, "Sorry, we were sued and had to pay a large settlement." I was so mad. Not at Walgreen's but the lawyers who sued them. I realize some photographer was probably ripped off by some Yahoo who purloined a Tiger Woods photo and was mass producing them at Walgreen's and making a profit, bypassing the photographer, but, thanks to instant litigation, now the rest of us suffer.

Besides the Brama bulls throw in some mean old mossy long horns.  Bob,  Might have been some old lady that got burned from the hot ink off her photo.

Perhaps we could try something a bit more American western themed like the running of the pissed off prairie dogs!I make no claims to knowing what would arouse a prairie dog's ire to put him/her in the proper festive game mood, mind you, but I was once chased around a house about 5 or 6 times by a very irate weasel(I rescued a friend's chicken)!
