Ol' Butch looks purt near good for a fellow decades dead and filled with more holes than a piece of Swiss cheese.

Maybe Hollywood should do a team-up, sort of The Avengers for the Western pretenders set, where William T. Phillips, Brushy Bill Roberts, and J. Frank Dalton take "one last ride, this time it's personal blah-blah," to fleece the public with bull manure and lies.

Heck. Who am I kidding? Sam Shepard's in a new Western. I'll see it!

Just to show that movie quibblers are the same the world over, a Bolivian friend who has seen Blackthorn (it opened there recently) complained about costume anomalies, fact errors, etc.  (I explained to him:  "It's a movie.") He did say it's beautifully shot.  And then there's Sam Shepard.

As long as they don't start promoting this as though it could have really happened.  They should just promote it as a fantasy and nothing more.
