I agree with your famous writer and will add that some folks seem to think that if you died, you must've done something wrong.

Or as General Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson was reported to have said about his fearlessness in battle, something like "God has already determined the time and place of my death, so I just do what I have to do with no fear" - or something like that...it's how I think also.
