I have some very crazy friends, especially in the Old West arena. Just got this from a certain artist. His name rhymes with Thom Ross:

Read this over and let me know your thoughts.

I was working with Guy yesterday down at the studio.

We got to talking about one of our heros, Norman Eugene "Clint" Walker, famous for his role as "Cheyenne Bodie" in the television show of the same name.

We decided that in these times of hardship we would start a daily, 3-hour radio talk-show dedicated solely to discussions and commentary about the television show, "Cheyenne."

We would host the show and, after singing the theme song to open the program, we would then handle calls from the vast listening audience.

Though we will not be seen by our audience, we would, of course, be dressed in a similar fashion to "Cheyenne."

I would like to think that Rusty would act as a guest/host on some of the programs.

We think this is a real winning concept.

No one has ever tried this before.

And before you poo-poo the concept, remember this:

We will be on the air even on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day!

Rock solid concept, boys, and neither Guy nor I can find a flaw in the idea.

We may need some investment capital to get this off the ground, but I wanted to give you guys a chance to get in "on the ground floor."

"Cheyenne, Cheyenne,
Where will you be camping tonight?
Cheyenne, lonely man......."

We will be making a full proposal to the local radio stations sometime next week.

After you get done financing that epic proposal, I have an email I can send you from an old Southwestern African prince in exile needing some funds for an expedition to regain his crown and the rights to 7 trillion rubles kept in an off-shore Kazakhstanian bank. You are entitled to a finders fee of 25%. Just let me know....

Even if I admit to knowing who Cheyenne Bodie IS....
I'll have already dated myself badly, so thanks a lot Mr. Thom Ross.
(BTW, I loved Clint in that movie about the werewolf loose at the ski lodge.
anybody remember the name a that?) An speakin of classic TV westerns...
Why not a High Chapperal RADIO show?
All High Chapperal, All the time...I mean who didn't love Victoria (insert wolf whistle here)
or Uncle Buck? OK, me and my Wild, Wild West lunch box are hobbling off into the sunset,
whilst doing my best Walter Brennan limp.

I wish the powers that be who decide what Westerns go on dvd would release
High Chaparral onto dvd. Laredo/Texas Rangers, Laramie, Cheyenne, Branded,
Buffalo Bil Jr, Wild Bill Hickock and some others are already available on dvd for under $10.

Idea for the first "Cheyanne" show...

In today's installment, "Test Of Courage", Cheyanne loaded his revolver with shells containing spent primers, yet was able to shoot the bad guy with it.

Please discuss...
