Last year I was the subject of the cover of a program for the Cochise Cowboy Poetry and music gathering. The image was used to create some commemorative art such as pins, belt buckles, scarf slides. etc.
I remarked at the time that at least my image had not appeared on underwear. I shouldn't have said that, though, because the following month it did. While relaxing at the campfire at Picacho Peak State Park during the Civil War in the Southwest, my compadres presented me with a matching set of t-shirt and underwear with the above image plastered on it. If that wasn't bad enough, my slightly inebriated wife then decided to model the set while dancing around the camp fire. Fortunately, there are no photos of that incident. However, the above image was also used to make an oil painting. I only saw it once, but someone told me it is still floating around in Sierra Vista somewhere.
Yesterday someone sent me a photo of another painting with me as the subject. It was from a photo taken of me at Brown Canyon Ranch years ago. I vaguely remember the artist taking the photo, but I never heard from her again and so forgot about it. The painting is hard to see because of the reflection off the glass, but it looks pretty good.
I don't mean to brag or anthing, but how many oil paintings are there of BBB? I'm just sayin.
