A group of us reenactors had a blast in Boulder City, NV on the Nevada Southern Railroad...we did four shows to sold out cars..had to end up turning people away at the end! The crowds enjoyed the banter and were entertained by the lawdawgs, bad guys, and fair maidens...and maybe a sporting lady, too ;) while riding the train through the desert. The passengers were able to view the desert's own spring show with the hills covered in green vegetation, the greasewood and desert dandelion all in yellow bloom, too. We mingled with the crowds, took pictures with them after each show...the children especially loved interacting with us...had several little girls and a boy call me a princess. My heart melts for the little children with their big, wide eyes, watching enthralled...I hope what we did will spark an interest in the little ones to do what we do, too! Here is a link to the Las Vegas news, channel 3's short clip of the promo for the actual event!
