Theodore Roosevelt & Redheaded Mike Finnigan

If you've read my article in the June 2011 issue of True West Magazine "Tracking Roosevelt's River Pirates", you might enjoy this little story about the leader of the boat thieves, Readheaded Mike Finnigan. This incident happend in Medora, Dakota Territory, a few week's before Readheaded Mike and his friends stole Roosevelt's boat.

Wagon Train Rediscovers America, True West April 2009 issue.

After you’ve read “Wagon Train Rediscover’s America” in True West’s April 2009 issue, let me know how you like it, and if you have any questions I’d be glad to try to answer them. 300 people on horseback and in wagons journeyed 17 days from Fort Pierre to Deadwood, South Dakota, during August 2008. We followed the old Fort Pierre to Deadwood Trail as close as possible. It was a memorable event.
