Make it by hand

In a discussion with a friend, we talked about how children today are disconnected from the land. To them, it seems that money comes from an ATM machine, food and clothes come from the store. She has planted a garden and is working with her grandchildren, teaching them to till the soil, to grow their own food. They love it and are proud of the harvest. I would like to find other knowledge to pass on to her grandchildren, and mine, about how to hand-craft items and living like the pioneers did.…See More

Fort Dalles Days and Rodeo at A town-wide celebration

July 8, 2010 at 6pm to July 18, 2010 at 7pm
Celebration of Fort Dalles Days with a rodeo, historic building tours, family fun days, concerts, wine, ale, historic re-enactments, theatre, a parade, antique vehicles... And who knows? There might even be a bank robbery...
