I came across the discussion on Western hats, particularly those depicted in Western movies, wherein BBB takes a sort of revisionist view in calling for more tolerance for the inclusion of hats with…Continue

Gary Sheaf, there are others doing similar work to yours in coloring old black and white or sepia photographs. Google Sanna Dullaway, a Swedish artist who has colorized photos of Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Alfred Hitchcock, Alexander Graham Bell, and Many More. Huffington Post has a video of the steps, shown in high speed, involved in coloring Lincoln.

Some claim the below picture is a genuine image of Curly Bill Brocius, while others dispute this, saying that Curly actually looked more like Gordon McCrea.…

Yes, I left a message at that number a few days ago. Don't worry about the book -- as long as someone paid full price for it, that's fine.
Where do you live? We lived for years on Garfield Place in Park Slope.
Best, Allen
Murray,
The side kicks were more memorable than the stars and very often far better actors! When I earned my living that way I always wanted the character parts because the quirky roles would stick in folk's minds. Thanks for accepting my invitation.I look forward to your future input and insights on the forum!

Hello,
I miss your input on the forum,Murray.Hope everything is great for you these days!
Murray,
Good to here from you.I'm intigued you got the itch to be all artsy-crafty again-perhaps you'll put a photo of yourself wearing it on the forum.I have been cranking out more suits and so haven't gone ahead yet on the new group idea and Istill haven't thought about what to call it-throw some title ideas at me if you want! The hat rant-it was long lived and lively and the forum needs more discussions that are both provocative and fun.I still owe everyone some hat catalogue pictures but maybe i'll put those in the group site.
Why documetaries are often better clothed(and set decorated) stems from people being more history minded and the fact that many of the folks in them are serious re enactors who wear their own.Hollywood often makes ill advised/informed ego based choices and will usually put autheticity second to effect!
No,we've not seen C&A yet but plan to.I really like several of the actors in it and even if it is somewhat laking I think I'll still enjoy it.Well, better wind this up for now -it's always good to hear from you.

drivers , buggie drivers, etc. always sit on the right
Bobby Sweet said… p.s. to Murray, I was in the Army in 1964 with a john Sisto from Humbolt St, Brooklyn,N.Y.

Polly Gulley said… Murray, I am aware that the only authenticated tin type of Billy is in such bad condition that it would be impossible to use it to authenticate other photos. The thing that concerns me is that she has totally ruled out the de Aragon that has been checked out by other experts and has been accepted by Robert Utley as a probable photo of Billy. Could she be wrong or could the other experts be wrong?
