What is your occupation?
The man to the left is my Great Grandfather, George E. Wood, who owned a Mercantile and Lumber Store in Kensington, Kansas from the late 1880's to 1909. I am a retired Police Officer, current Telecom Manager, and aspiring Author.
What are your favorite hobbies?
Civil War, Indian Wars, and Western and Railroad History, Geneology, Antique' hunting with story's that relate to the periods of my interest.

Thanks Mike, My father's family were early pioneers in Dallas, Tx. and here in Arizona.  Grandfather was a Territorial Legislator for Arizona.  He drove 3 herds of cattle from Dallas to Gila Co. Az. in 1880's. His brother was a Texas Ranger.

Thanks for the offer, I may just take you up on it one of these days.  My Gr-grandparents, Sam A. & Isabelle Haught settled on the E. Fork of the Trinity R., in 1845, it was called Haught's Store, and now Lawson, near Mesquite.  Also my Gr-Grandfather Rowell Hunnicutt was the first Road Commissioner for Dallas Co.  Other Gr-Gr Gandparents were G.W. & Martilla Glover.  This is the family that the Glover Cemetery is names for, and also related to the Beemans who were the first white folks in Dallas.
