"Did you buy any other info on Sallie? Sallie Chisums mother was Ara Josephine Wright. Her grandfather was James Gillenwater Wright. He is our dead end. There are several of us searching this line. I'd be very interested in seeing these pictures…"

Marie: I'll be happy to send you anything that I have. I know a fellow who had written a book re/the early Chisum family. I have his email. I have met many of Sallie Chisum's family here in Oregon. Many are still ranchers, and very good ones at that.

I believe that I have a photo of Ara J. Wright Chisum. I also may have a photo of Johnny Johnson, who may have been a relative. He was very popular with the family.

I have several pictures of Sallie C. and three of her sister Mary Branch who died in 1873 in Texas. I have a great many family photos. I even have Wm. Robert's German family, including his parents, Agnis Hemminstal and John E. Robert, who Sallie named her eldest son after.

How can we email? I know many local relatives of Sallie Chisum and they do have stories, but not that many. Sallie died in 1934 and only a few souls recall her personally and they are elderly, but then again I ain't no spring chicken. I would love to email you and I'll be happy to send any pictures that you might desire.
