Marie: I'll be happy to send you anything that I have. I know a fellow who had written a book re/the early Chisum family. I have his email. I have met many of Sallie Chisum's family here in Oregon. Many are still ranchers, and very good ones at that.
I believe that I have a photo of Ara J. Wright Chisum. I also may have a photo of Johnny Johnson, who may have been a relative. He was very popular with the family.
I have several pictures of Sallie C. and three of her sister Mary Branch who died in 1873 in Texas. I have a great many family photos. I even have Wm. Robert's German family, including his parents, Agnis Hemminstal and John E. Robert, who Sallie named her eldest son after.
How can we email? I know many local relatives of Sallie Chisum and they do have stories, but not that many. Sallie died in 1934 and only a few souls recall her personally and they are elderly, but then again I ain't no spring chicken. I would love to email you and I'll be happy to send any pictures that you might desire.
