I've been to about every museum and historical society between El Paso and Carlsbad. I'll try the U of Ar, but I think I already have. I tried Paul Hutton, no reply. I have had a few nice exchanges between BBB and Fred Nolan, both fine gentlemen. However both are very skeptical, but who can blame them? Both men explained to me that they are bombarded by Billy pictures almost constantly and they have a reputation to protect. I like the fact that neither man ignores me. The Haley in Midland has been extremely helpful. Great collection there.

The entire collection is huge. There were probably a hundred pictures, but I only found seventy-five; but that's a lot of old west tintypes to find in one place. I'll tell you one thing, holding them and knowing that the subjects probably did to, is an amazing feeling! I believe that I have the very tintype that Billy gave of himself to Sallie and that I also have one that she exchanged with him, so he had one of her. No record of it, but if it happened I've got them both. Pretty amazing feeling to hold them.
