Five Rules for Men to Follow for a Happy Life

A COWBOY'S TOMBSTONE:Here are the Five Rules for Men to Follow for a Happy Life that Russell J. Larsen had inscribed on his headstone in Logan, Utah. He died not knowing that he would win the 'Coolest Headstone' contest.  FIVE RULES FOR MEN TO FOLLOW FOR A HAPPY LIFE:1. It's important to have a woman who helps at home, cooks from time to time, cleans up, and has a job.2. It's important to have a woman who can make you laugh.3. Philosophy/Kanab

Some time ago in a John Wayne movie he talked about his philosophy (as the character in the movie). It made sense to me but I cannot seem to find it. Anyone have an idea? Maybe the movie McClintock?

I know there are a bunch of other ones out there, such as "Don't squat on yer spurs," etc, but I'm looking for Wayne's comment, or others that make sense.

I'm a native of Arizona, raised between Kingman, Wikieup, Prescott & Phoenix.

Married, 2 kids and 10 G/kids.

I spent a lot of time on my Grand dad's ranch near Wikieup growing up.

I've lived in Arizona all of my life, except the 8 1/2 years I was in the Marine Corps, 1965-1973.

The west fascinates me, both old and new.
