Kerby Jackson is an author living in
Oregon's Rogue River Valley, an area where Zane Grey and Jack London often came to write their own novels. He is a 9th generation Oregonian (his ancestors have lived in Oregon since the time before Lewis & Clark made their journey to the Pacific).
He writes
western fiction, Old West non-fiction and screenplays, mainly tales set in the old days of the Pacific Northwest. He is the editor of
Six Guns Westerns, a small press devoted to the publication of western fiction and Non-fiction about the Old West.
At the moment, he recently completed a novel entitled "
The Troubled Land" which is a Western set in the Owyhee Country (the border area shared by Oregon, Idaho and Nevada) and is currently working on his second and third, entitled "The Tarnished Star" and "Vengeance on Althouse Creek: The Sweet Revenge of Chance Love", both of which are set in his native Rogue River Valley.
