Great review! I hope to get a chance to read this book (I'm so far behind in my reading!) It will be interesting to see the differences in our two Jake Silver characters. -Jon.

I just finished reading a book that I would highly recommend. It is Think No Evil, by Jonas Beiler. It is a story about the Amish schoolhouse shooting and the act of forgiveness displayed by the Amish familys.

Gotta love New Mexico chili...and only proper when using NM green chile peppers, leave the wimpy jalapenos to Texas. My worst experience was a bowl of green chile stew made by an old timer who lived in Old Town Albuquerque. My mouth burned for three…

George, I agree with the first part of your message, He will guide you and we need to make sure we are listening. However, if you point at the scripture where Judas went and hanged himself, I hope that you won't take that as an instruction! The main…

I will tell you one thing my friend...you dont want to ask this question to the "today" horse breeders cause you will get some wild answers as to what they thought was the top "Breed" in the 1800s. I think Julie answered your question.

THE FEATHER GANG is an intriguing story about a gang of outlaws, criminal by choice but driven by circumstance. They are pursued by U.S. Deputy Marshal Jake Silver, who is intelligent and cunning through years of experience. The gang will soon determine if their wits will endure to pull off one last big bank heist, and the Marshal will be put to the test to see if he can stay ahead of the gang’s ingenious plan.

THE PREACHER is an exciting story that follows an assassin bent on revenge after the death of his parents by Union forces. Trained to kill by none other than ‘Bloody Bill’ Anderson, the assassin is terrorizing the West. Deputy U.S. Marshal Jake Silver must hunt him down and bring him to justice before he kills again, and round up an entire network of criminal activity.

I enjoyed the story because as a kid I remember my experance with a type of chili as you expressed Jon, must have been 8 years old, and I remember the dance and the experance of trying to find the solution of trying to extenguish the sencaition I felt in my mouth. Also how I tried not to cry because I didn't want to burn at both ends. The cloest I could come was surgar and soda-pop, but only reduced its intenceness. Now it is funny, but not at the time when it was burning, tears were running down my cheek, and sweat rolling off of my head at age 8.

I do wish you well on the sales of the book, and I'll look on Amazon.com for you first.

I am starting out small, by putting mine short stories on the Blog, then I'll try and see if True West would want any, then maybe I'll try a book again. I've not had much luck when it comes to books.

If you done your research, then your third book is almost written already.

Again, wishing you the best!

Hay John!

The photos that you see are from here in Fort Smith.

The gun that you see on there, even though the photo doesn't show it very well, was Franklin Dalton and when he died in 1886 his brother Bob Dalton got it and scribed his name on it.

The two photos of the men on there is Grat, standing with the book, and Emmett Dalton sitting. They were part of the Dalton gang and worked as marshals here in Fort Smith.

The large building is the Fort Smith National Historic Site where the Dalton boys served as marshals before turning outlaws later.

The photo of the women and the men are Belle Starr and the Daltons. Grat Dalton was held at the Historic Site when it was a court house on larceny charges upstairs in the same place that photo was taken.

The head stone with Parker on it is Judge Isaac Parker's head stone and he is buried just walking distance from the old court house or Fort Smith National Historic Site.

All the photos on there are from here in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

And where do you live and who are you most interested in from this time period?

If you could go back in time who would you like to meet?

I would have loved to met Gratton Dalton he is my favorite Dalton gang member.

Catch you later!
