I found a True West site, at last!!!

What a wonderful site and a great bunch of folks. Any other Okies here? I am "Keepin' It Cowboy" here in southwest Oklahoma and can't wait to see what all is going on and meet everyone. Thanks, Sixgun, for making me feel welcome. I was in radio for 27 years and produced several syndicated programs. Also, did sound for a couple of local bands. Still have my studio but since retiring I'm mostly doing a few commercials and voiceovers. Also, make cds and sound effects for events. I probably have… Continue

Hello Jo;
Were ok here. It went south of us by about 3 miles, straight up highway 9. We lost power for about 5 hours. We have numerous trees surrounding our home and it blocked much of the high winds. It did lift my tv antennae out of the ground and laid it over our home. When the rain stopped I was able to place it back so we could monitor the weather conditions. We have no damage around the home but I still have to get out and walk our 10 acres to find out if any more damage was done to our property. We learned many years ago that when bad weather is imminent we take precautions as filling one of the bath tubs full of water in case we lose power for the commodes. Works great when your not sure how long your going to be without power. Anyway were all fine here and greatful the good Lord was as he always does look out for us.
