The picture of the younger man would have been taken at the Chisum Ranch, most likely and prior to the fight at Blazer's Mill, since there is one of (who I believe is)Richard Brewer who was killed in that fight.

The other picture was I think was taken in December 1880 soon after the Kid was captured at Stinking Springs. I think it was taken in jail (Billy was heavily locked down.) after his capture. There's another, looking similar, of Dave Rudabaugh (I'm pretty sure it's he.)
