"About the cowboy fast draw - I'm not particularly fast. I've gotten down to 0.540 seconds a half a dozen times, but 0.640 to 0.690 is more the average of my 'good' times. In our local club, I would rate myself "Most Likely…"

"If anyone is curious ... I had set up an Alpha-Delta DX-CC multiband dipole wire antenna in NVIS mode. On 40 meters, Reno, Carson Valley, and Southern California came in clear as a bell from Eastern Nevada."

About the cowboy fast draw - I'm not particularly fast. I've gotten down to 0.540 seconds a half a dozen times, but 0.640 to 0.690 is more the average of my 'good' times. In our local club, I would rate myself "Most Likely To Hit the Target". I know the thinking of most folks is to go as fast as possible, but I can't help but think that this sport is a simulation of a gun fight. If you miss, not only do you fail to stop your opponent, but the hammer is sitting on a dead cylinder of a single action revolver. Not too smart. Just my 2 cents.

BTW, my fast draw handle is "El Oso" (The Bear). It fits.
