"Yes it should add support to the spring at its weakest point and prevent it from breaking.  This fix should also work on any other revovler that has a forked spring that controls the trigger and cylinder release."

Grandma's Blackpowder Receipe

This receipe has been taken from an article by Rev. Dr. J.D. Hooker in a magazine called the Backwoodsmen. The editors note is Niether the author or this magazine take any responsibility for the making of black powder. It is presented for informational purposes only and their suggestion is to buy your black powder.

Fixins

2 buckets, 1 large and one slightly smaller,

Holes in the bottom of the bigger bucket.

2 heavy cloths, large enough to cover the bottom of the big… Continue

Thanks for the welcome George!
Great pic of you, ... where did you get those leggins'? I made some years ago, but like everything else in my life I usually give them away to someone who admires it more than I do. :-) Even though I'm 100% German (heritage only), my persona in all these websites is that of an old Gringo who lived the hard life in Mexico growing up poor as a church mouse, then realizing the life of a bandito and gun-fighter has it's rewards, ... as long as you stay above ground! heh heh heh ... I'm still in the process of getting my costume put together, but the hardest thing to find is the period cane Sombrero. I found one circa 1926 in a Phoenix antique store for $165 but it was a size 6 7/8, .. and I take a 7 1/2. A reputable Hatter told me you can't stretch cane, so my quest continues. Anyway, ... thanks for the welcome, ... see you in the posts!

Thanks for the tips, ... nice boots! ... I thought sure they were the leggin's that went up to their knees. I've got some 'feelers' out here in Santa Ana, CA where they make Mariachi duds, real 'old school' type tailors, ... I'm kind of a weird shape so maybe an investment in custom made period clothes might do for now. Thanks again for the tips.

You are so correct George! My wife is Mexicana and we are due to go south, I'm trying to establish a contact or two from Santa Ana shops up here. I also have a contact in Fontana for an old Zoot Suit tailor; hopefully he can steer me to a good tailor here or south. Thanks for the contact!

George,

I am the elder, 67 years old. There are no older elders than me around anymore. My oldest half brother who was a full blood died 5 years ago. All my other brothers are younger than me, the closes one in age is 10 years younger than me. And my cousins are all younger than me as well. I am the oldest of the oldest in the family tree, and this is why I am putting the stories down on the Internet.

George,

The reason it came to mind is that I am now the oldest, and I have lost my oldest half brother and sister who were full bloods, and I lost three younger sisters. I am the oldest, and with tose deaths in just five years, I am afraid when I die, the stories will go with me. So, by using the blog, it is one way of keeping the stories alive.

I do plan on saving the master on a CD which if in the future, someone wants a copy of it, they then can ask for a copy from the CD. So, in a way I still will have some control of the stories.
