FLORIDA- Crackers,Cow hunters and a 500 year Cow Culture

My claim is that Florida is where the cattle industry began in the US (1521). Most folks (including natives) don't realise how important Florida has been to the cattle industry or how important the cattle industry has been to Florida. Attached are some articles and stories that you might find of interest.For the readers among you I would reccomend "A Land Remembered "by Patrick Smith; 3 Generations of cowmen from the Civil War to 1970's.
