I wonder if anybody has shared my thoughts re the following.
Time Life Books, The Old West series, The Expressmen. Pages 160/161. A great photo of the stage depot at Deadwood Dakota Territory, late 1870's. The picture depicts a stagecoach leaving the depot. The character nearest the foreground near the white horse. Dare I mention it, can that character be none other than Wild Bill Hickock? Has anyone else ever thought the same thing?
Re my last comment. The caption for the photograph states 'late' 1870s, of course Hickock was killed in 1876, but his appearance in the photograph I quote could have been taken earlier in 76, and I suppose 1876 could just fall into 'late 1870s'? Maybe its just wishful thinking in my part.
