THE STORY of WALKER & BELLE
Our story begins in 1870, just south of the border in a little cantina in old Mexico. The two notorious outlaws shared a few stories of their adventures while downing some Tequila and a Mexican brew of beer that would choke a horse. As they laughed and continued to drink, a U.S. Marshal walked into the cantina looking for Walker. In one swift motion and quick as lightning, Belle drew down on the marshal killing him instantly before he had a chance to draw. The smoke cleared from the shot that rang out and there lay the marshal on the floor with his hand grasping his holstered gun.
Realizing what she had just done, Walker took the marshal's gun and badge, grabbed Belle by the arm and they both ran from the cantina as fast as they could. They both mounted their Mustangs and fled back across the border into West Texas. Walker had been telling Belle of the secret canyons and caves in the Badlands of New Mexico where he had his hideout and hacienda. They decided to head to the Badlands where they both felt they would be safe.
As the sun began to set and darkness had started to fall, Walker decided they should stop and rest in Old El Paso. Walker knew the saloon owner and could trust her to put them up for the night. As they rode into town, there seemed to be an eerie feeling about the streets; so they followed along the back alley until they came to the rear door of the saloon. Belle stood watch outside while Walker entered the saloon to make sure all was clear. Once inside the saloon, Walker found his friend Madam Sunshine and made arrangements to stay for the evening. Walker went out back to retrieve Belle when he saw a shadow under a light post just at the end of the alley. Just as he was about to draw down on the shadow, the hombre stepped into the light and Walker could see it was his old Amigo, Jimmy Kidd.
Jimmy Kidd, Belle and Walker stepped back into the saloon for a few drinks while Walker introduced Belle & Jimmy Kidd. Jimmy Kidd told of the story that a man and a woman outlaw killed a U.S. Marshal just south of the border in old Mexico and that there were lawmen in town looking for the couple. Knowing they could not stay for the night with the lawmen in town, Belle & Walker fled to the Badlands of New Mexico where it was safe.
Walker and Belle robbed stagecoaches, held up banks and trains, not to mention the number of men they killed just to survive running from the law. The two outlaws always managed to escape back into the canyons & caves of the Badlands, thus the names... Badlands Walker & Badlands Belle. These names are on the lips of every lawman, gun slinger and bounty hunter who is looking to make a name for themselves as the one who got Badlands Walker and Badlands Belle.
To this day, Walker and Belle roam the territories of Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. They are being hunted like dogs by a couple of famous U.S Marshals who go by the names of Cactus Jack & Will Ketchum. One of these days the lawmen will meet up with Walker & Belle on some dusty street, in some old west town and the rest will be history. If you see these two outlaws coming, you had better cross the street and look the other way or you could be the next notch in their guns. Make no mistake, these two outlaws will not be caught and the numbers of the dead continues to grow as each man takes his chance with Badlands Walker & Badlands Belle.

I'm sure most of you on here are aware of the new group that has formed recently called the Lightning A Cattle Company. Well, while I was in the hospital a few weeks back with that heart procedure they insisted on doing... I had time to reflect on this old west history thing we all love so much. It came to me like a thief in the night, that I was not doing all I could to promote the old west. Yes, I was in a group of reenactors and playing old west characters however, it was not where I really w…

I have always been curious as to why our old west era in American History has been so popular around the globe? Why hasn't the American Civil War taken roots around the globe like the old west has done over recent years?
I have several on-line old west pards that I have kept in contact with over the years in countries like England, Spain, Portugal, Whales, New Zealand, Italy and last but not least... our pards from "The Land Down Under".
It's great to see all of these different countries take…
