Would anyone happen to know of a "list" of any kind that would name the brothels in the old west, in the years 1872 through 1882 (with owners names if possible)?  Specifically in Dodge City,…Continue

Hiya Angie! I saw the photo finalists in the last issue of True West that I received today!

Amazingly found new tintypes re/George W. Morgan in an on line auction! I can't believe it.

So, Angie do you like the cowpoke pics? I'm not a huge fan of them. For one thing a field was being fired a few miles away and the air was filled with smoke. No wind. Everything smelled like buring grass, which it was, of course.

The cowpokes that I photographed are direct relatives of Walter Pitzer Chisum and Inez Simpson Chisum.

Yes, I had a great time photoing the cowboys. However I felt kinda like a fool. I wasn't helping, I was just walking around with my camera. I was raised around cattle, so I'm comfortable standing in amongst them, but I wasn't doing any real good.

I sent them all enlargements and I hope they framed some. They said they had never been photographed working before.

  Angie,

I've worn so many hats over the years-actor,artist,college art and literature instructor etc. and some historic fiction demonstrably shows a lot of careful research and is often cited by later historians.I'm honored by your request.Want to read a great historic novel?Jack Finney's Time and Again about an artist who time travels back to 1882 New York. It's unbelievably detailed and beautifully crafted.Jack Finney also wrote the work that became Somewhere In Time starring the late Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour.
