This must be how Tom looked about when Garrett killed him.

I don't see how anyone can refute this picture. It's got to be Tom O. Folliard. I recognized him as soon as I picked up the picture. The other picture of him shows him much younger. Here he looks like he might be a six footer who weighed 180 lbs, as he was described. He was a red head. Here his lips and his cheeks have been slightly tinted. Apparently he adored Billy Bonney. Like is pal he was killed by Pat Garrett.

I agree Steve, it has to be him. That really authenticates the usual published picture of him which I was never too sure about.

Right, John. The other image that we all know so well has been in quesiton for the past few decades, but my image here, makes that image absolute. They are the same man. The original of this Ferrytype shows Tom looking at us from within the gloom, which makes the image kind of eery.

As I study the collar that Tom's wearing here I note that it looks like the one that Billy's wearing in my pic of him. If that is the case then it's likely that the two pictures were taken at the same time and these are not Tom's clothes, but some that Morgan had on hand.

This was about the third picture that I found and I recognized Tom immediately. Then I picked up a picture of McSween and Patron. Can you imagine how exciting it was! At first I only bought a picture if I recognized the person depicted, then I bought everyone that looked right. I didn't Id some until a long time later.

Now, some (many?) experts here say that they aren't real because I have no absolute provenance, but I do have some, and really now, don't the pictures themselves do something toward proving themselves?
