Indeed Bobby is a great shot! And, nope, I'd not like him shoot'n at me. Since he is so good at it, maybe there were some guys in the Old West who were too. I, therefore; stand corrected.

Steve,
However at no time in the old west has it ever be documented that a shootist "as they were called" ever fan his pistol, and the very word "Gunslinger" was not even coined until the 20th century by a western writer. But it sure looks good the way Bobby does it and he is one of the fastist draws I seen in reenacting in a show, the man is incredible from a periord correct holster and I sure hope he doesnt read this and get the big head. :-)

Ammo was even more expensive in the Old West than it is today. When a man could make a dollar a day a box of .45 shells cost fifty cents. George Coe said that the kid didn't care about money except to buy shells with. He also said that the kid practiced shooting as often has he could and spent a lot of time cleaning his guns. So Billy was a gun nut.

We know that buffalo hunters reloaded those long Sharps rounds. Did they also reload for their .45's? Mark Graham in his new book about the Kid and Garrett writes that the kid stole a Colt Lightening from Padre Pollack, which was finally confiscated by Garrett at Stinking Springs. He went on to write that the Kid was given a Thunderer after he escaped from the Lincoln jail and killed the two guards.
