Dan Dedrick almost absolute

This fellow looks all the World like Dan Dedrick. He was a pal of the Kid and probably involved in the counterfeiting ring.

This image is exactly the same size and in similar condition as the famous imaqge of the Kid. Another copy of that image was found within the effects of Dan Dedrick's family. This picture ended up within the Chisum collection. Did the two men exchange photos and did the Kid give this one to Sallie. Who knows?

Several "experts" have announced to me that this is indeed Dan Dedrick. I think it looks like the other picture of him that's published in BBB's "Billy book".

Any comments?

Well I had hoped that someone out there in TW land would chime in and comment about my picture of Dan Dedrick. It's just such a wonderful photo to own. It's very small and in terrible condition, but I'm pretty sure it's Dan. He was into making counterfeit money. I discussed this with Steve Sederwall, who I consider one of my best friends. He said that the Kid and Dedrick and Wilson and Picket were all involved in a wide spread money kiting scam. The details are astounding. I've seen a copy of one of the bills. It is ASTOUNDING!

It it interesting to me that the pic of Dedrick and the Upham pic of the kid are in similar condition.  The backgrounds are different, but both are standing poses.  I wonder if the kid and Dan exchanged pictures.  Since they are of similar condition I wonder if the same fellow took them both.  They are also the same size.  When one looks at the original it is hard to make the person out.  You kind of have to move the picture back and forth to get the light right.  It is in lousy condition.
