Western times of years past..... will sometimes come roaring back.....in the spirits of those who cast............their thoughts on the wind......to those of us to catch..........those things western to send....to a new following of folks to bend.............life to the western way of thought!!!!!!!

Hi there Stan H! I started this group for those of us wana be poets to share thoughts via western poetry no matter how obscure. For copy right situations we better stick to our own stuff. thanks for joining. I promise you will enjoy the poetry. write some and share it with us! LUCKYDOGJIM

l'm not a poet, and would like some feedback.
Here's one of my first poems.
My Dad
Dad had alot of Cows,
And he had alot of Kids,
if you ask about a Cow,
he give you it's history,
if you ask about a Kid,
it would be a mystery,
my Dad love his Cows,
More then he did us Kids,
I ain't making this up,
you can ask my sister,
he called her "ButterCup"

so please help me out with any suggestions or coments, thanks Bud

A Miners Tail.............How faithful a friend seems awful clear...Works his heart out so dear.............Day in and day out so true........Weather rain or....crystal blue .....In the dark tunnels so deep..........As the timbers will often creak.......And as such they will often fail.......Not so our friend with a tail........Down the tunnel with cart we send..........FAITHFUL BURRO..........To the very end!!!!!!!!!!!!

There once was a miner named joe...........Who picked and shoveled ever so slow........Never got rich........Cause the work was a bitch.........and ended up six feet below!!!!!!!

There once was a horse named Jake........That was tired of being tied to a stake.....So he reighned back his head........And off he fled....In time for his partners birthday cake!!!!!!!1
