What was the best Wyatt and Doc team in movies or tv

I've got to go with Kurt Russell/Val Kilmer in "Tombstone". Kurt says in one of the featurettes on the DVD that theirs is the only movie that doesn't have a cofrontational aspect between the two. Burt Lancaster and Kirk Douglas did have an interesting relationship in "The Gunfight at the OK Corral" with Wyatt Earp as a by-the-book lawman and Doc as a dyed-in-the-wool cynic.

I have to agree Kilmer and ussell were excellent. They were as accurate as could be,closer in age as the real duo ,and came the closest to the relationship of the real Earp and Holiday.

Costners movie was good;but it showcased too much of his life whereas Tombstone covered the one incident that shaped the legends. As for Doc things kind of went downhill for him after Arizona'he had to depend more on the kindness of friends.
I read somewhere that Kilmer might be getting involved with politics and may be considering running for Governor of New Mexico. He could always play Lew Wallace in a new version of Billy the Kid.

Since Val played Billy the Kid in the TNT movie I wonder if one of his first acts as Governor would be to pardon the Kid (or has he already been pardoned?) By the way are either of you True West subscribers? Have you got the current issue yet? We seem to be going through a host of mailmen/women and my issue sometimes gets lost in the shuffle. Thanks

I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my new subscription, and I don't think the kid has been pardoned yet.It would really do him a lot of good though

Put on your thinking sombreros for this one.
1-On the Virginian before he came to Shiloh Ranch ,What was the Virginian studying to be?
2- Who composed the music for The Virginain?
3-Who played Davy Crockett in The Last Command?
4 What physical imfirity did Judge Roy Bean Have and how did he get it?
5-What happened to Beans pet bear?
Lets see who can get these right first.Good luck

I'm sure we all agree that both movies AND TV westerns are to be included here, right?
With that in mind, I again express my long held recommendation that CENTENNIAL, the old TV mini-series based on the James Michener book, is remarkably excellent. But what is it's greatest flaw?
