I enjoy most bluegrass and old school country music, Bill Monroe, Hank Thompson, Merle Haggard, Hank Sr/Jr, Loretta Lynn, Johnny Cash, Tammy Wynette, Laurel Canyon Ramblers, Rhonda Vincent, Ricky Skaggs, Dixie Chicks...so many to list...and last but not least, my father, who was a member of the ACM and played pedal steel guitar with many of the greats.

Much of the country music today, while entertaining, sound to me like glorified rock bands...but that's just my personal opinion.

Howdy Yall! I'd like to stop right here and give a huge THANK YOU to Serenity Lupe for providing us a place to talk about the wonderful world of Western music!
The West is history, it's myth & legend, it's enormous vistas and mountains and endless rolling prairies but it is also PEOPLE and the pioneers who settled the West left us a rich and enduring legacy of music and spoken word poetry that still, to this day, thrills all us folks who just wanted to be cowboys & cowgirls.
Whether we wear a suit and tie or Wranglers and Resistols, our music & poetry, like the West, is our heritage!
