Does anyone else remember that Ken (Festus) Curtis got his start as a singing cowboy? He was even lead singer for the Sons Of The Pioneers for a time.

Festus is my fav, but I really liked Newly too. I love to watch Festus and Doc and their conversations.

Ginny, Ken Curtis was Charlie (Jeffrey Hunter's rival for the girl) in The Searchers. If I remember correctly, he did some singing in the movie. Need to watch it again, it's been a while since I've seen it.

Thats right, Pam...as I recall he was a bit of a loser in it LOL but he was up against Jeffrey Hunter...good looking young man. Buck Taylor as newly was very good..
