The original is my favorite show. Let's hope they don't screw it up:

I'm told that the series will be a definite go ahead. They'll need a very strong pair of actors to even come close to the original series' dynamic.Spy movies and t.v. series were still strong in those late cold war days of the original show so I wonder just how they can successfully spin it this time.

My nightmare is that they'll get someone like Carrot Top to play Artemus Gordon!Still, they have the 1999 fiasco to serve as an object lesson of what not to do!

Speaking of fiascos-a young steampunker asked me recently to make him a Victorian frock suit-metallic gold for the vest and coat and pants in electric blue crushed velvet.A lady friend said my face was an interesting study in mixed incredulity, horror and derision. That's just what I need-someone with appallingly bad taste who is light in the loafers!

Nothing as good as the orig. It will be hard to do a remake of that series.
I am with Mr. flboots.
I agree!I've seen quite a few of the folks the new show will be targeting and it doesn't inspire the least amount of confidence. One other point-Have you noticed that so many remakes of old series are made by those who claim to be in love with the original but end up making something that resorts to a sort of low humor and a mean spirited take on the formula that was successful to begin with? Why do they do this? It  seems as if they work from a creative perspective of cynicism and contempt rather than respect
