The Building Of A Costume

I am in the early phase of building my costuming for the character, Bill Hickok.
Can anyone lead me to additional information (favorite links to pictures) regarding the different apparel worn by Bill? I will be doing this costume right so if you have any information that can help, please let me know. (this includes weaponry)

As far as the Old West Actors For Hire website and you being in New England...we hear words to that effect fairly often and here is what you need to know.

The website has a Site Search that is very useful to photographers looking for models and event coordiators needing venues for regional events. After all, they will not want to hire a group or an actor from the west coast for an event in Boston. Too often, we as actors find out too late about an event, function or photo shoot. This website is designed to get the word of potential work before the commitments are made.
One other thing, we will build a link to your website into your biography page which not only gives you as a group more exposure, but also makes the search engines happier which helps get your site better placement when a search pertaining what you do is submitted by an interested visitor.

Ahh, much better. All good stuff Wild Bill. I wll be taking your advise on the factory converted weapons. As for the grips, I am pretty much fond of the real stuff. Expensive yes but if I can't afford the real mcCoy on the piece, I gotta have somethin' real.
As for the hat. This may be one area where I lean on Hollywood. I really like the hat that Jeff wears in "Wild Bill". I'm not cast in stone on that but to some, the hat is more personal than the weapons (at least in this day and age).

As for grips - real ivory will cost you as much as the gun but if you want something that is as close to the real thing but half the price than go with Tru-Ivory. I got a set on my navies and it's hard to tell them from the real deal in feel and looks. They take some time but worth it:
