Taking the "Ghost" out of the Town -Calico

So - San Bernadino Co. Regional Parks Dept. has officially taken the "Ghost" out of the name of Calico Ghost Town. It's now just plain ol' Calico Town...and, I have been given to understand that the County is now considering Calico Old West Town, or, Calico Mining Town....
The Blog that is linked above (John Weeks, San Bernadino Sun Newspaper) pretty much covers all the points I figured the county was taking the name change for.
Personally, I think they're damned idiots.
But, who am I to say?
