John Wayne Gun ( 1873 Colt Single Action Army)
This is a real good collector's item from my own personal collection. The gun is a replica and has Gold and Silver Inlay. There is beautiful engraving all over it, especially on the barrel where it depicts the Stage Coach that was used in some of his movies.There is a wall plaque that goes with it.The gun is mounted on two replica 45 caliber gun shells.
This was a Limited Edition Commemorative model produced by the Danbury Mint.I'm sure there will be a difference of opinion on this, but I think It is worth about $700.00.I'm asking $599.95 for it. Let me know if your interested?

I was lucky enough to find one at an auction and got it for $25.00, i didnt know they are worth that much.

You don't need a permit to sell a gun. You can take it to a person that has an FFL and he can do the deal for you for a small fee.

All Danbury Mint 'firearms' are non-firing replicas made, usually, of cast zinc. Their 'value' depends on their rarity. Most Danbury Mint stuff is highly over-priced by the Danbury Mint itself. They are manufacturing 'collectors' items' which have no intrinsic value and are in no way connected to the subject save for appearance. They'd have to have the approval of John Wayne's estate to put his name on an item, but that's the sole connection between anything Danbury Mint puts out and any contemporary individual who is depicted on one of their products. Compare any Danbury Mint product to a '50s TV-show kids' lunchbox. The value of the lunchbox depends entirely on who wants it & how much that person is willing to pay for it, because the lunchbox itself has absolutely no intrinsic value.
