I REMEMBER SOME OF THE STORIES, AND SOME NAMES OF OTHER FRIENDS. MY DAD LIVED A HARD FAST LIFE, SHOT NINE TIMES IN GUN FIGHTS AT DIFFERENT TIMES WORKING THE BOOM TOWNS OF OKLAHOMA. I don't know anything about your father personally, but from the looks of the picture in enlargement, that's a Model 1878 Colt double-action revolver he's packing. I could be wrong--all I can see of it is part of the grip, the hammer, & what appears to be a double-action spur--but considering my 16 years in law enforcement, that's not a gun I would have chosen to carry. I've fired one of 'em & it was an experience sort of like rasslin' an alligator--worth having once.
